writer, professor, photographer
and sometimes a dog pillow...
I'm a literature professor at National Taiwan University, a dog pillow at home, and otherwise searching Taipei for urban hikes and ghosts.
A Taiwan Literature Base 2024–2025 Writer-in-Residence, and Pushcart-nominated member of the Taipei Poetry Collective and Codex, I publish poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and photography.
Science fiction and queer theory are the core fields of my academic writing, which also addresses censorship and epistemology. Current research funding comes from the Taiwan National Science and Technology Council, and previously, I held a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Horizon 2020 postdoc at Trinity College Dublin Long Room Hub, Fulbright fellowship at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, earned a PhD from UC Berkeley Rhetoric, MSt from Oxford Women's Studies, and AB from Smith College German & Philosophy.
